Lakshya Sen Wins Match in 39 Minutes

World Championship 2021 bronze medalist Lakshya Sen defeated Singaporean player Jia Heng Jason Teh in straight games. The match lasted 39 minutes, with Sen beating the world No. 20 player Teh 21-13, 21-11. With this victory, Lakshya Sen has secured his place in the quarter-finals. His next match will be against Singapore's former World Champion Loh Kean Yew.

HS Prannoy's Journey Ends 

Another Indian player, HS Prannoy, faced defeat at the hands of Denmark's Rasmus Gemke in a 46-minute second-round match. Prannoy lost 18-21, 15-21, ending his tournament journey there. In the first game, Lakshya Sen started the match with an 8-5 lead. Although Teh briefly took a 10-9 lead, the Indian player regained control by the break. A tough contest was witnessed between both players until the score reached 14-13. After that, Lakshya secured seven consecutive points to win the first game.

In the second game, Lakshya Sen maintained his rhythm and quickly built a 5-0 lead. By the interval, the score was 11-3, dashing his opponent's hopes. Lakshya Sen continued his excellent performance throughout the game and easily won the match. His superior speed, technique, and mental fortitude propelled him into the quarter-finals.
