A veterinarian called from Lucknow tranquilized the leopard, after which it was placed in a cage and transported in a safe vehicle. The rescue operation lasted approximately four hours.

Safe Relocation

According to the Forest Department, this operation was conducted keeping in mind the safety of both humans and wildlife.

Government and Department Response

The net fencing system installed by paramilitary and security forces was intended to demarcate the secure area according to standards, but it carried the risk of animals getting trapped.

The Forest Department and DFO Prakhar Gupta stated that there are no signs of serious injury to the leopard, and further examination and care will be provided.
