MPCA President 2025: The Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) has created new history. 29-year-old Mahanaryaman Scindia has been elected unopposed as the organization's president. This is the youngest age at which this post has been held in the 68-year history of the MPCA. Mahanaryaman has broken the record of his father and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, who became MPCA president at the age of 35.
The third generation of the Scindia family is now taking charge of the MPCA. Prior to this, his grandfather Madhavrao Scindia had become president at the age of 37. In this way, Mahanaryaman has surpassed both his father and grandfather, achieving a new milestone in the organization's leadership.
Unopposed Elections Held
This time, the MPCA elections were held in a historic manner. Mahanaryaman was the sole candidate for the post of president. Former BCCI recognized umpire Amardeep Pathania withdrew his nomination for the joint secretary post. Along with this, his club Indore Colts also withdrew its nomination for the management committee representative post.
After the withdrawals, the number of candidates remaining was equal to the number of vacant seats. In such a situation, there was no need for voting, and Mahanaryaman Scindia became the president unopposed. This is the second consecutive occasion that MPCA elections have been held unanimously. Earlier, in 2022, elections were also concluded without any opposition.
MPCA's New Team
A total of five office bearers have been elected to the new MPCA team. Only one member in this team has played for the Indian cricket team. Arundhati Kirakire is that member of the team who has experience playing at the international level.
Although Mahanaryaman Scindia has become the youngest president, he has been active in administration, event management, and other cricket-related activities so far. This experience of his will prove beneficial in giving a new direction to the team.
