The film was released in theaters on July 25, 2025, and has remained the audience's first choice even after four weeks. The film has so far crossed the ₹278 crore mark worldwide. It has become the highest-grossing Indian animated film of all time.
Notably, the film has collected four times its budget. Hombale Films announced via an official Instagram post that the film's worldwide performance has been far more spectacular than expected, and this figure may continue to rise.
Storm of Earnings at the Indian Box Office Too
‘Mahavatar Narsimha’ has also performed unprecedentedly in the Indian market. According to initial figures from Sacnilk, the film's domestic collection has reached ₹219.96 crore so far. Weekly Collection Report:

Beginning of the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe
‘Mahavatar Narsimha’ is not just a film, but the beginning of a cinematic universe. Hombale Films has announced that a total of seven films will be made based on the seven avatars of Lord Vishnu. The first film is based on the ‘Narsimha Avatar’. In the future, films will be made on the other six avatars of Lord Vishnu.
In this way, this franchise based on Indian mythology is set to give a new dimension to Indian cinema in the coming years. The film is directed by Ashwin Kumar, and notably, this is his directorial debut.
