The sales growth was observed not only in major cities but also in rural markets. Particularly, the new Bolero range saw b demand in rural areas, with its improved engine performance, body-on-frame architecture, and new features attracting customers. SUV Demand Rises in Rural Markets Alongside Cities

He added that this surge was observed not only in major cities but also saw significant demand in smaller towns and rural areas.

The growing popularity of SUVs in rural areas is very encouraging for the company. Nalinikanth Gollagunta mentioned that the new Bolero range is the highest-selling in the rural market. Experts believe that the increasing SUV sales will not be limited to Navratri. Due to the GST reduction and feature enhancements, SUV demand could be sustained for the long term.

SUV Craze Surpasses Hatchbacks and Sedans

Market analysts state that SUV popularity has consistently grown over the past few years compared to hatchbacks and sedans. Indian customers are now preferring SUVs according to their needs and style. The reduction in vehicle prices after the GST cut has made them easier to purchase.

Experts explained that this surge in SUV sales was primarily observed in retail sales. Besides cities, customers in rural markets also showed an increased interest in buying SUVs. This indicates that the SUV craze is spreading everywhere in the Indian market.

Navratri Festival and Sales Surge

The Navratri festival always boosts sales in the Indian market. This time, the surge in SUV sales was particularly observed due to the GST reduction and new features. Many customers had been waiting for a long time for the GST cut, and as soon as the new rate was implemented and Navratri began, a sharp increase in sales was seen.
