Delhi: Rajesh Khimji, the accused in the attack on Chief Minister Rekha Gupta in Delhi, has made a major revelation in police remand. The accused said that after the Supreme Court's order on dogs, he had a vision of Lord Shiva's Bhairav form in his dream. Bhairav ordered him to go to Delhi and present his views on the issue of dogs to the Chief Minister. Rajesh said that he builds Shiva temples and worships the Shivling. He decided to go to Delhi only after receiving the order.
Accused Reached Delhi Without a Ticket
Rajesh Khimji said that he reached Ujjain from his home without a ticket and then left for Delhi from there. After getting off at New Delhi Railway Station, he asked passers-by for the address of CM Rekha Gupta's house and took the metro. The accused mistakenly got off at the wrong metro station and then reached the Chief Minister's private residence by rickshaw after asking people for the correct address. The accused gave the rickshaw driver 50 rupees and said that his only aim was to meet the CM.
Meeting with CM and Attack
According to the accused, he met Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and appealed not to send the dogs out of Delhi. But when the Chief Minister did not listen to him, he got angry and attacked. The accused claims that he was planning to return to Gujarat the same evening after making his point.
Police Investigation Ongoing
Delhi Police is investigating the veracity of the accused's statement. Officials are also trying to find out whether the accused is trying to mislead the police. The police are conducting an in-depth investigation into his mental health, background, and the real motive for coming to Delhi.
