Mukesh Ambani Seen With Slim White Smartphone at Jio Platforms Listing, iPhone Air Speculation Emerges

Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, has drawn attention on social media after being seen holding a slim white smartphone at the Jio Platforms stock market listing event in Mumbai on October 28, 2026. Social media users have identified the device as Apple's iPhone Air, although its ownership has not been confirmed. Some users have also suggested that the phone could belong to his son, Akash Ambani.

Several members of the Ambani family were present on stage during the Jio Platforms listing event. A video recorded during the programme shows Mukesh Ambani handing a white smartphone to his grandson, Prithvi Ambani.

The phone's slim design and rear appearance prompted several users on social media platform X to identify it as the iPhone Air. After the video circulated online, users began questioning whether Mukesh Ambani uses the device regularly.

However, the video alone does not establish whether the smartphone belongs to Mukesh Ambani or another member of his family.

Another discussion has emerged online, with some social media users suggesting that the white iPhone Air could belong to Akash Ambani.

The speculation is linked to the final of the ICC Women's World Cup, during which Akash Ambani was seen in the stands with a white smartphone featuring a single rear camera.

The devices seen on the two occasions have been described as having similar designs. Based on this resemblance, some users have speculated that the phone Mukesh Ambani held at the listing event may have belonged to his son.

Neither Mukesh Ambani nor his family has confirmed who owns the smartphone.

Apple launched the iPhone Air in 2025, drawing attention to its slim design. The device measures 5.64 millimetres in thickness and weighs 165 grams. It uses titanium in its construction.

The iPhone Air features a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The display is designed to provide smooth performance while watching videos, playing games and using social media applications.

The smartphone has a single 48-megapixel rear camera. Apple has equipped it with a Fusion camera system that supports photography and 2x optical-quality zoom.

The iPhone Air is powered by Apple's A19 Pro chipset, which supports multitasking and processing-intensive activities, including video editing and gaming.

Apple offers the device in three storage configurations: 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. The phone also carries an IP68 rating for protection against dust and water under specified conditions.

The device offers an option for users who prefer a lightweight smartphone. However, unlike several other premium iPhone models, it does not feature multiple rear cameras.

Jio Platforms was listed on the stock market on October 28, with its shares opening at around 21% above the issue price. Members of the Ambani family attended the event.

Several videos from the programme subsequently appeared on social media. One of them showed Mukesh Ambani holding a slim white smartphone. His interaction with his grandson, Prithvi Ambani, prompted online speculation about the device's model and ownership.

While some users identified it as the iPhone Air, others suggested that it could belong to Akash Ambani, who had previously been seen with a similar white smartphone.

The ownership of the device has not been established. Mukesh Ambani and his family have not issued any confirmation on the matter, and the video alone does not establish that Mukesh Ambani personally uses the iPhone Air.
