Indian athletics star and two-time Olympic medalist Neeraj Chopra has ended his nearly decade-long partnership with JSW Sports. Simultaneously, he has launched his own athlete management company, ‘Vel Sports’.

Alongside this, he has also launched his own athlete management company, ‘Vel Sports’. This move is considered the beginning of a new chapter in Neeraj's career and in the field of sports management.

End of a Decade-Long Partnership with JSW Sports

Neeraj Chopra associated with JSW Sports from 2016 onwards, taking his career to new heights. JSW Sports provided him with training, financial support, and the opportunity to compete in international competitions. Neeraj has always described this relationship as an important part of his career and expressed gratitude for JSW’s contribution.

In a statement, Neeraj said, "Our journey over the past decade has been filled with growth, trust, and achievements. JSW Sports played a vital role in guiding my career. Now, with the conclusion of this chapter, I am carrying those same values forward into the next phase of my career." Vel Sports: Neeraj’s New Project

Immediately after separating from JSW Sports, Neeraj launched ‘Vel Sports’. The company will operate in areas such as athlete management, training, career advice, and sponsorship management. Through Vel Sports, Neeraj plans to guide other athletes, elevate their careers to a global level, and provide new direction to the field of sports management in India.

Neeraj said, "Vel Sports is not just a business for me, but a result of my sporting journey and experience. My objective is to provide the right direction, opportunities, and inspiration to upcoming athletes through this company." Neeraj Chopra made history by winning India's first Olympic gold in javelin throw at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. He then proved his world-class talent by winning a gold medal at the 2023 World Athletics Championships and a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
