On Wednesday in Patna, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (United) (JDU) held separate meetings of their legislative parties, where both parties finalized the leadership for the upcoming government. The BJP has once again shown confidence in Samrat Choudhary, electing him as the leader of its legislative party. Meanwhile, the JDU unanimously elected Nitish Kumar as the leader of its legislative party, sending a clear signal that the leadership of the upcoming government will once again remain in his hands.
Samrat Choudhary Elected Leader at BJP Legislative Party Meeting
During the BJP legislative party meeting held in Patna, Samrat Choudhary was officially elected as the leader of the legislative party. This decision emerged after internal strategic discussions within the party following the election results. A large number of newly elected BJP MLAs and MLCs were present at the meeting. The meeting was led by Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM and Bihar BJP observer, Keshav Prasad Maurya. He was accompanied by co-observer Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti and Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal.
In this meeting, Vijay Sinha was elected as the Deputy Leader of the BJP legislative party, strengthening the leadership structure. Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal, senior leaders Dharmendra Pradhan, Vinod Tawde, and other leaders supported the new leadership and discussed future strategies.
Nitish Kumar Unanimously Supported at JDU Meeting
Like the BJP, the JDU also held a meeting of its legislative party where Nitish Kumar was once again unanimously elected as the party leader. In the meeting, the party's MLAs and MLCs decided that Nitish would once again take the helm of leadership in the new government.
This decision within the JDU is considered extremely important as it clarifies that there is no doubt about the Chief Minister's post in the coalition government, and the leader of the JDU will remain the same person who has led the state as Chief Minister nine times so far.

A joint meeting of the NDA has been called for 3 PM on Wednesday in the Central Hall of the Assembly. All MLAs from BJP, JDU, LJP (Ram Vilas), HAM, and RLM will participate in this meeting.
According to sources, Nitish Kumar is expected to be elected as the leader of the NDA legislative party in this joint meeting. This will fully solidify his claim to the Chief Minister's post. Political analysts believe that important announcements like cabinet formation and portfolio distribution may also emerge after this meeting.
