JDU Confirms Nitish Kumar Will Remain Bihar's Chief Minister Amid Election Speculation

Amidst the election fervor in Bihar, JDU clarified that Nitish Kumar will remain the Chief Minister. Ministers Maheshwar Hazari, Amit Shah, and Samrat Choudhary also expressed their support.

Bihar Politics: The political atmosphere in Bihar has once again heated up regarding the Chief Minister's post. In this election year, where the opposition is constantly questioning the role of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the Janata Dal United (JDU) has completely clarified its stance. Senior party leader and Minister Maheshwar Hazari has stated that whatever the situation in the election, only Nitish Kumar will remain the Chief Minister.

Significant statement by Maheshwar Hazari

JDU leader Maheshwar Hazari, who is a minister in the NDA government and has also been the Deputy Speaker of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, stated unequivocally – "Whether JDU comes first division or third division, Nitish Kumar will be the Chief Minister. No one should have any hesitation about this."

Response to the opposition's attacks

In the past few months, discussions have intensified that Nitish Kumar may not be able to become Chief Minister again after the upcoming assembly elections. Some opposition parties are claiming that the BJP will now lead in Bihar on its own. In this context, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini had stated that the elections in Bihar would be won under the leadership of Samrat Choudhary.

'25 to 30, Nitish again' poster conveys a political message

In response to this statement, JDU put up a large poster outside the party office in Patna which read – '25 to 30, Nitish again'. This clearly means that the party sees Nitish Kumar as the Chief Minister from 2025 to 2030.

Regarding this poster, senior JDU leader Neeraj Kumar said – "NDA has already decided that the next assembly election will be fought under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. Meaning, he will remain the Chief Minister from 2025 to 2030 as well."

Support from the central leadership as well

Nitish Kumar's son, Nishant Kumar, also said in a media interaction a few months ago that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has clarified that Nitish Kumar will remain the Chief Minister even after the elections. This statement came when the opposition was constantly propagating that the BJP might change the leadership in Bihar.

Similarly, the state's Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary also reiterated that the next government in Bihar will be formed under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. This statement also clarifies that there is currently no plan for a leadership change from the BJP's side.
