Independent MP from Purnia, Pappu Yadav, has openly targeted the BJP ahead of the vote count. He raised several sharp questions regarding the election process, exit poll predictions, women's voting patterns, and youth trends.
Patna: Political rhetoric has intensified ahead of the Bihar election results 2025. On Tuesday, Independent MP from Purnia, Pappu Yadav, launched a major attack on the BJP, leveling several serious allegations regarding the election process, exit polls, and women's votes. He stated that this time, the people of Bihar desire change, and the youth appear to be standing with the INDIA alliance.
BJP Accused of “Lies and Theft”
Pappu Yadav directly attacked the BJP, stating that the party has always formed governments based on the power of “wealthy individuals, lies, and theft.” He said:
'The BJP can never form a government without theft, without the support of the super-rich, and without lying. This time too, they made every effort to prevent Nitish Kumar's government from forming and for the BJP to come to power.'
He also alleged that deliberate attempts were made to defeat him in several constituencies. Citing the example of the Haryana elections, he stated that the public is misled by media and exit poll predictions.
Exit Polls Called a “Means of Theft”
Sharply criticizing exit polls, Pappu Yadav stated that they have been turned into an “instrument of theft” in elections. He remarked, “First they said '400-plus, 300-plus'… but what happened? Exit polls have become a means to confuse the public. This is a medium for theft.” According to him, exit polls are used to influence the public's psychological mindset and to portray the opposition as weak.
Pappu Yadav also questioned the BJP's claims regarding women's votes. He asserted that a false narrative is being created about women. “You say that women voted because of 40,000 rupees. But also consider that millions of women were against you—Jeewika Didis, Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers… all were upset.”
INDIA Alliance Declared Strong
Pappu Yadav stated that this time, the social equations are not in favor of the NDA. He claimed that many communities and caste groups have openly supported the INDIA alliance. Gor, Nishad, Malla, Tatwa, Sarma, Pant—the vote of almost every community has gone with the INDIA bloc this time. Yadav women, Muslim women, there was a desire for change across all communities.
He stated that in the 2025 elections, issues such as employment, education, and corruption have been more significant than caste-based factors. Emphasizing the role of youth, Pappu Yadav said, “Approximately 78–79% of the youth were in favor of change. BPSC, SSC, the extremely backward classes—there was discontent among the youth everywhere. Therefore, the youth have voted against the errors this time.”
