Abhay Kumar Singh, Managing Director of Patna Metro Rail Corporation (PMRCL) and Secretary of the Urban Development Department, informed the minister about the project's progress and operational preparations. He stated that the plan is to start the priority corridor by the end of September. Technical work on the tracks, electrification, and fabrication is almost complete. Following the success of the trial run, there should be no further delay in getting the green signal.

This 6.5-kilometer-long elevated corridor from Malahi Pakdi to New ISBT will pass through five stations – Malahi Pakdi, Khemnichak, Bhutnath Road, Zero Mile, and New ISBT.
