New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is commencing a four-day, three-nation official visit today, December 15th. During the visit, PM Modi will tour Jordan, Ethiopia, and Oman. This marks PM Modi’s first visit to Ethiopia, and the trip aims to strengthen India’s foreign relations, enhance bilateral partnerships, and promote trade, defense, and regional security.

Prime Minister Modi’s itinerary is as follows:
- December 15-16: Jordan
- December 16-17: Ethiopia
- December 17-18: Oman
During this tour, PM Modi will meet with the heads of various nations and sign significant agreements, which will bolster India’s global diplomatic ties.

Prime Minister Modi’s Visit
Prime Minister Modi will begin his tour in Jordan. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, this visit will further strengthen India-Jordan relations. During the visit, PM Modi will hold bilateral talks with Jordan’s King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein. The objective of the Jordan visit is to promote economic cooperation, trade partnerships, and regional peace between the two countries. Furthermore, the visit will also strengthen strategic and security cooperation between India and Jordan.
Prime Minister Modi will depart for Ethiopia on December 16th. This is PM Modi’s first visit to Ethiopia, an East African nation. His meeting with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali will be the central focus of bilateral talks. During this visit, special attention will be given to promoting trade, investment, and development cooperation between India and Ethiopia. In addition, partnership between the two countries in areas of regional stability, water resources, and security will also be discussed.
Visit to Oman and a 70-Year Bilateral Relationship
Prime Minister Modi will travel to the Sultanate of Oman on December 17th. During the visit, he will meet with Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. India and Oman share a b 70-year bilateral relationship, and the purpose of this visit is to deepen these ties further. This Oman visit will be PM Modi’s second trip since 2023. Special focus will be given to energy, port cooperation, trade, and defense partnerships during the visit.
