Discussions regarding cabinet expansion in Rajasthan have intensified. Following recent major administrative reshuffles, speculations are now rife about an expansion and changes within the government's cabinet.

Jaipur: Rajasthan politics is currently the focal point of intense discussions regarding cabinet expansion. Following recent significant administrative reshuffles, it is now believed that Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma may soon make changes and expand the cabinet. This step could be taken before the government completes two years, enabling the party to achieve organizational strength, regional balance, and deliver a political message.

Currently, the state government has a total of 24 ministers, including the Chief Minister, while the constitution allows for a cabinet of up to 30 ministers. This means six positions are presently vacant and could be filled in the upcoming expansion.

Preparations to Accommodate Vasundhara Raje Faction

According to sources, the faction influenced by former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje may also be given representation in the upcoming cabinet expansion. This move is considered crucial for maintaining balance within the party and establishing coordination between old and new leadership. Several senior faces supporting Raje are likely to be offered ministerial positions. This will not only create balance in the party structure but could also have a positive impact on upcoming electoral strategies.

Sources indicate that the state BJP is emphasizing providing representation to tribal areas and the Shekhawati region. To further strengthen the party's performance in these areas, new faces may be included in the cabinet. Eastern Rajasthan's politics could also receive significant attention in the expansion. This region is considered politically influential, and several MLAs have already raised demands for representation for their communities and regions.

Several Ministers' Positions at Risk

Alongside the cabinet expansion, speculations about a reshuffle are also gaining momentum. It is reported that Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has been reviewing the performance of ministers for the past few days. Continuous feedback is being gathered from MLAs, party officials, and senior workers. Based on these reports, the portfolios of some ministers may be changed, while it is also possible for some to be removed from the cabinet. The party's strategy is to bring forward competent and effective leadership to enhance governance and administration efficiency in the coming months.

In the upcoming expansion, leaders from the Dalit and Gurjar communities may be given special importance. Considering the state's social structure and electoral equations, increasing the participation of these communities is being considered. Furthermore, young faces and active party workers from the organization may also be included in the cabinet, to provide leadership opportunities to the party's new generation and to bring energy and transparency to the government.
