Jaipur: The monsoon's effect continues unabated in Rajasthan. Schools will be closed today in 9 districts, including the capital Jaipur. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the safety of the children. The closure of schools has provided relief to students and parents and reduced the risk during heavy rains.

The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued rain alerts in several districts of the state. In particular, there is an Orange alert for heavy rainfall in Jalore, Sirohi, and Udaipur. At the same time, a Yellow alert has been issued for light to moderate rainfall in other districts.

Alert Issued in Several Districts of Rajasthan 

According to the Meteorological Department, an Orange alert has been issued for Jalore, Sirohi, and Udaipur districts. This means that there is a possibility of heavy rain in these areas and the local administration is alert.

In addition, there is a Yellow alert in Ajmer, Alwar, Bhilwara, Churu, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Baran, and other districts. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in these districts. Weather experts have appealed to citizens to take the alert seriously and avoid going to waterlogged areas.

Heavy Rain in Rajasthan Until August 27

The Meteorological Department has said that the monsoon may remain active in Rajasthan until August 27. This means that the period of rain may continue for the next one or two days. Citizens have been advised to remain vigilant and keep children safe at home instead of sending them to school.
