Bahraich (Uttar Pradesh), December 13, 2025 — Following the court's verdict in the Ramgopal Mishra murder case, the deceased's wife, Roli Mishra, became emotional. The court sentenced the main accused, Sarfaraz alias Rinku, to death and nine other accused to life imprisonment, while acquitting three.
Roli stated that while the verdict has given her a sense of justice, she remains concerned about the acquitted accused. She said, “As soon as I heard the verdict, tears came to my eyes. We had been waiting for justice for a long time. At least now our family has some satisfaction.”
The family described the decision as a message of social justice and expressed their faith in the justice system. Meanwhile, the police and administration maintained strict security arrangements at the court complex and surrounding areas, and appealed to citizens to maintain peace.
