Robert Vadra challenges ED chargesheet in Haryana land deal case. Says there is no evidence in 20-year-old case, pressure being exerted through politics.
Delhi: Robert Vadra, husband of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi and businessman, has raised serious questions about the Enforcement Directorate (ED) chargesheet in the money laundering case related to the Haryana land deal. Vadra says that this case is almost 20 years old and the ED has not been able to present any concrete evidence against him so far.
Vadra has appeared before the ED 24 times
In a conversation with reporters, Robert Vadra said that he has visited the ED office 24 times so far and has given clear and accurate answers to all the questions asked by the agency each time. He said, "I have not done anything wrong. If they have evidence, then they should show it. Whenever I am called, I appear. And there is no need to give any explanation."
Statement given during religious visit
Vadra reached Gurudwara Nada Sahib in Panchkula, Haryana, where he paid obeisance, served in the langar hall and also partook of the langar prasad. He gave his reaction on the matter while interacting with the media during this time. He said that his religious travels take place all over the country and this time also he has come here in the same connection.
Case is old, all information is already available
Vadra said, "The ED has all the information from the beginning. I have answered all the questions. This case is 20 years old and the same things are still being repeated. If there is any evidence, then it should be brought forward. There is no reason to be afraid and I have nothing to hide."
Statement in support of Rahul Gandhi
On this occasion, Robert Vadra also mentioned the hard work of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. He said that Rahul and Priyanka are constantly working hard for the country and people should understand their hard work. Vadra alleged that if citizens are not aware, the current government will continue to win elections in the wrong way, divide the people and put them in trouble.
