Rukhsar Rehman: From Personal Struggles to Spiritual Comeback

Rukhsar Rehman has navigated a life of ups and downs, marked by struggle, motherhood, and self-reliance, and is now making a comeback with a spiritual show.

Rukhsar Rehman: Behind the glitz and glamour of the film industry, stars often experience moments that are far deeper and more painful than those of ordinary people. One such story is that of actress Rukhsar Rehman, who entered the film industry at the age of 17 and, after weathering many ups and downs, is once again proving her mettle.

From Early Career to Second Chance

Rukhsar Rehman began her career in the 90s. Her beauty and acting skills caught the industry's attention, but she took a break due to family commitments. However, in her second innings, she played memorable roles in hit films like 'PK', 'Sarkar', 'God Tussi Great Ho', 'Uri', and '83'.

Two Relationships, Two Heartaches, and a New Beginning

Rukhsar's personal life has been nothing short of a roller coaster. After a divorce and then a separation, she single-handedly raised her daughter, Aisha Ahmed. Rukhsar says, "When you come out of a relationship, it breaks you. But time is the greatest healer. My daughter, my friends, and family gave me the courage to stand up again."

'Now I am only looking for good work'

As a mother to a young daughter and now as an independent woman, Rukhsar does not feel lonely. She says, "I am not looking for love, but I love my work. My daughter Aisha is my best companion, and her company is enough." However, she also believes that the lack of companionship is definitely felt, but in today's world, no relationship is guaranteed. Therefore, she has embraced her life as it is.

Journey as a Single Parent

Her life as a single mother has been quite disciplined. Rukhsar explains that Aisha initially lived with her parents and then went to boarding school. She used to get very restless if her daughter fell ill during shooting. She also said, "Now being a single parent has become my habit and lifestyle."

Almost Became the Rukhsar of 'Sanam Bewafa'

Very few people know that Rukhsar was cast opposite Salman Khan in 'Sanam Bewafa' at the age of just 15. Some shooting of the film had also taken place, but her father did not approve of some clauses in the contract, so he refused. Chandni was later cast in the film, and her name was kept 'Rukhsar'. Rukhsar says about this, "Sometimes I think that if my career had started with Salman, maybe my life would have been different, but I am happy with what I have today."

Now She Will Become the Host of a Spiritual Show

Rukhsar is now starting a new chapter. She will soon be seen hosting a chat show called 'The Vedas Speak: Our Spiritual GPS', which is based on issues like spirituality and inner peace. She says, "Spirituality has always been my inclination. This show connects the spiritual depth of the Vedas with today's era. It is connected to my soul."

Working with Annu Kapoor and Rajkumar Santoshi

Rukhsar has recently completed shooting for the film 'Uttar Da Puttar' with Annu Kapoor and is also working with Rajkumar Santoshi in a big project. She says, "Working with an experienced artist like Annu ji teaches you a lot. I cannot share my experience with Santoshi ji yet, but I am definitely proud."
