Tharoor Visit Russia: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor is currently in Russia on a private visit to Moscow. During a formal event there, he not only met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov but also held discussions with several other think tanks.
Tharoor's visit to Moscow is partly to promote a documentary series based on his books. He has released documentation based on his books 'An Era of Darkness' and 'India: From Midnight to the Millennium and Beyond', which address the criticism and impact of British Colonialism.

This is a global think tank platform where issues and challenges such as international relations and economic organization are discussed. It is named after Yevgeny Primakov, the former Prime Minister of Russia.
This platform includes top think tank experts from 40 countries, including India, who discuss pressing challenges such as international security, terrorism, cyber security, and climate change.
Meetings with Top Think Tanks
Shashi Tharoor also met with Leonid Slutsky, the chairman of Russia's top Liberal Democratic Party, and Andrei Denisov, the former Russian Ambassador to the UN, in Moscow. He reminisced about Denisov, who has also been the former Russian Ambassador to China and the United States.
Focus on the Documentary
According to recent reports, a ten-episode documentary series 'Imperial Recipes with Dr. Shashi Tharoor' based on Tharoor's books is being promoted. The release date of this series has not yet been announced, but some clips have been shown in RT's popular show 'The Sanchez Effect'.
