The release of Shehnaaz Gill's Punjabi film ‘Ik Kudi’ has been postponed due to severe floods in Punjab. Continuous heavy rainfall has submerged several areas, displaced thousands of people, damaged homes, and destroyed crops.

Punjabi Film Release: The release of Shehnaaz Gill's upcoming Punjabi film ‘Ik Kudi’ has been postponed due to the severe floods in Punjab. The film was initially scheduled to release in cinemas on September 19, 2025, but has now been deferred to October 31, 2025. The film's team shared this decision through Shehnaaz Gill's Instagram account. 

She wrote along with the film's poster that this decision has been taken due to the unexpected and severe flood situation in Punjab. Shehnaaz also stated that the team stands with the people of Punjab during this challenging time and will try their best to help the affected individuals.

Flood Situation in Punjab

Heavy rainfall in Punjab in the past few days has wreaked havoc in many areas. 23 districts have been waterlogged, affecting approximately 3.5 lakh people. Many homes have been submerged, crops have been ruined, and thousands of people have been displaced. The film's team stated in a release, "We feel it is our responsibility to stand with our people in this challenging time. We are in touch with various NGOs to help the affected people. With God's grace, we will try our best to support Punjab. We stand with Punjab."

‘Ik Kudi’ is produced under the banners of Raya Pictures, Amore Films, and Shehnaaz Gill Productions. The film is produced by Kaushal Joshi, Amarjeet Singh Saron, and Shehnaaz Gill. It is written and directed by Amarjeet Singh Saron. The film will be released worldwide by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. The shooting of ‘Ik Kudi’ was announced last November, and the film's production was progressing rapidly.

In her Instagram post, Shehnaaz Gill stated that her priority is to stand with and help the people of Punjab during this flood situation. She added that the film's team stands with the affected people in this hour of crisis and will make every effort to ensure aid reaches those in need.
