Base Camp and Security Arrangements

The base camp for the Budha Amarnath Yatra has been set up at Amarnath Yatri Niwas in Bhagwati Nagar. The administration has finalized all preparations. Necessary arrangements have been made throughout the Yatra route, keeping in mind the convenience and security of the devotees.

Historical and Cultural Significance of the Yatra

This Yatra is not only a symbol of religious faith but also holds deep social and cultural significance. The Yatra was initiated in 2005 by Bajrang Dal. At that time, the minority Hindu community was migrating due to terrorism in border areas like Rajouri, Mendhar, and Poonch. Thus, this Yatra was started to boost their morale and has now taken the form of a grand religious event.

A large number of devotees participate in the Baba Budha Amarnath Yatra every year. This time too, devotees from various states of the country are arriving in Jammu. Social organizations and the local administration have jointly made complete arrangements for the convenience of the pilgrims, including food, water, medical facilities, and accommodation.
