Infant's Body Found Mutilated by Dogs in Sikar, Rajasthan

The incident came to light when some children playing spotted dogs tearing at the infant’s remains. The children immediately informed local residents. Locals rushed to the scene and attempted to rescue the body from the dogs. After considerable effort, the dogs were driven away, and the infant’s body was secured.

Police Action 

The Industry Nagar Police Station was informed of the incident. Police arrived at the scene and searched the surrounding area. A report was filed in the matter by Rahul Kadwasra, the operator of the private school.

Doctors performed a post-mortem examination on the infant. According to doctors, the deceased infant was approximately seven to eight months old. The lower part of the body had been eaten by dogs, making it impossible to determine the infant’s gender. Police conducted the cremation with the assistance of the Municipal Council.

Investigation Aspects 

Sub-Inspector Beerbal Singh of the Industry Nagar Police Station stated that preliminary investigations suggest the infant’s body was dumped in the empty plot during the night. The location where the body was found is near vacant land belonging to the Forest Department. Police are also trying to determine where the dogs brought the body from.

Such incidents are on the rise in Sikar. There is a sense of fear and anxiety among the people. Local citizens have demanded increased security and measures to prevent such cases.

Infant’s Family 

The identity of the infant’s family has not yet been established. Police are pursuing other leads and questioning local residents. The incident has sparked both outrage and sensitivity among the people of the area.

Social activists say that such incidents highlight the urgent need to focus on child safety. Increased surveillance of vacant and deserted areas, and attention to the condition of dogs and other animals, are necessary.
