In Devkhar Tola of Kharhara Gram Panchayat in Sonbhadra district, some individuals tied up and beat two youths with sticks, suspecting them of witchcraft. After a video of the incident went viral on social media, the police took swift action and registered a case against the accused under sections related to assault and the SC/ST Act. Police Circle Officer (CO) Obra, Harsh Pandey, stated that action has been taken against all three accused, and the investigation into the matter is ongoing.
