Last Updated: 3 hour ago

Elon Musk's company SpaceX has once again achieved a significant milestone in the field of space travel. On October 13, 2025, the company successfully conducted the 11th and final test launch of its Starship Version-2 rocket.

SpaceX: Elon Musk's company SpaceX has achieved a major feat. On October 13, the company successfully completed the 11th test of its Starship Version-2 rocket. This was the final test of this mission, which has been deemed entirely successful. According to information, the flight lasted approximately one hour and achieved all its objectives.

In this mission launched from Starbase Center in Texas, the Super Heavy booster made a safe landing in the Gulf of Mexico just 10 minutes after liftoff. Meanwhile, Starship traveled into space and completed approximately half a revolution around the world. Elon Musk observed this entire process from his office.

Full Details of the Launch

This SpaceX mission was launched from the Starbase Center located in Texas. The mission lasted for approximately one hour and successfully achieved all its objectives. The Super Heavy booster made a safe landing in the Gulf of Mexico 10 minutes after liftoff. Starship orbited approximately half the world in space and also released a dummy satellite during this time.

The rocket's engines were both turned off and on in space. Elon Musk watched this entire mission live from his office. Following the mission's success, Starship performed a safe splashdown in the Indian Ocean. According to SpaceX, data obtained from this mission will be used to further improve the next model.

Strategy for Mars and Moon Travel

Elon Musk's dream is to make travel to Mars and the Moon easier. SpaceX has developed various versions of the Starship rocket:

  • Version-2: Recently completed a successful test.
  • Version-3: Ready for the next mission, this will be more powerful and taller (approximately 124.4 meters / 408 feet) than both previous versions.
  • Future Starship: Will launch in 2027, with a height of 466 feet.

These new-generation rockets are designed to make space travel more capable, safer, and affordable. It is noteworthy that several tests of Starship Version-2 had failed earlier in the year. However, SpaceX continued its efforts and finally achieved success in the 11th test. This success has not only boosted the team's confidence but also laid the foundation for future space missions.

Elon Musk stated that Version-3 and future Starship models will be developed with the capability to travel long distances in space and carry heavy payloads.
