India Slams Pakistan at UN Over Child Rights Violations & Cross-Border Terrorism, Defends 'Operation Sindoor'

India criticized Pakistan at the United Nations General Assembly over child rights violations and cross-border terrorism. MP Nishikant Dubey described 'Operation Sindoor' as essential for the protection of children and civilians and advised Pakistan to look in the mirror.

New Delhi: India once again cornered Pakistan at the United Nations General Assembly (UN General Assembly) on the issues of child rights (child rights) violations and cross-border terrorism (cross-border terrorism). MP Nishikant Dubey leveled serious allegations against Pakistan, stating that Operation Sindoor (Operation Sindoor) was essential for the safety of children. He said that instead of sermonizing on international platforms, Pakistan should look in the mirror and ensure the safety of children and civilians within its own borders.

Counter-Terrorism Action

Speaking at the 80th UNGA session, Nishikant Dubey justified India's counter-terrorism actions under Operation Sindoor in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK). He stated that these actions were legitimate and necessary for the protection of children and civilians.

He informed that during Operation Sindoor in May 2025, Indian armed forces conducted surgical strikes on nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and POJK, eliminating several terrorists. Nishikant Dubey stated that this was a well-thought-out and balanced response, whereas Pakistan had deliberately targeted Indian border villages, killing several civilians, including children.

Nishikant Dubey's Attack on Pakistan

Addressing the session, Nishikant Dubey stated that Pakistan is the most serious violator of the Children and Armed Conflict (CAAC) agenda. Citing the 2025 report of the UN Secretary-General, he said that Pakistan is involved in cross-border terrorism, shelling, and airstrikes.

He bly condemned Pakistan's attempt to divert the world's attention from child rights violations and cross-border terrorism. Nishikant Dubey said that several Afghan children were injured or killed in attacks carried out by the Pakistani army in areas near the Afghan border.

Context of Pahalgam Attack and Operation Sindoor

Nishikant Dubey referred to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22, in which 26 civilians were killed. He stated that the international community cannot forget the targeted and brutal attacks carried out by terrorists trained by Pakistan.

Following the Pahalgam attack, India launched Operation Sindoor in May 2025. Under this operation, the Indian Army targeted terrorist bases in Pakistan and POJK, eliminating terrorists and weakening their networks. Nishikant Dubey described this as a necessary step for the safety of children and civilians.

Advice for Pakistan to Look in the Mirror

Nishikant Dubey stated that it is hypocritical for Pakistan to speak on international forums after the acts it has committed. He clarified that Pakistan should look in the mirror and stop sermonizing. He urged Pakistan to ensure the safety of children and women within its borders and to stop targeting civilians.
