New Delhi: The Delhi government is going to launch the 'Saheli Pink Smart Card' for women and transgenders on the occasion of Bhai Dooj after Diwali. According to DTC officials, women will not need to buy pink tickets with this card and will be able to travel for free. The card will be issued after online registration and bank KYC, and will be used by tapping it in the bus. Under this scheme, the card will contain the woman passenger's name, photo, and other essential details, making travel recording easier.

According to DTC officials, the Pink Smart Card could be launched on the occasion of Bhai Dooj after Diwali, following approval from Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. Through this card, women passengers will benefit from free travel on DTC and cluster buses. With the Pink Smart Card, women will no longer need to purchase pink tickets.
This card will provide free bus travel not only to women but also to transgenders. The card will contain the passenger's name, photo, and other necessary details. Officials also state that complete preparations have been made to launch the scheme. Card reader machines have already been installed in many buses.
How to Obtain the Pink Smart Card
To obtain the Pink Smart Card, online registration must be completed on the DTC website. After registration, the KYC process will be finalized through a bank. Once the card is received, it will be activated in DTC's Automated Fare Collection System.
After card activation, it can be used on the bus. During travel, women passengers will need to hand the card to the conductor and tap it on the machine. This will record travel details and provide convenience to passengers.
