Allahabad High Court Orders SP MP Mohibullah Nadwi to Pay Rs 30,000 Monthly Maintenance to Wife

The Allahabad High Court has ordered Samajwadi Party MP from Uttar Pradesh, Mohibullah Nadwi, to pay a monthly maintenance of Rs 30,000 to his wife, Rumana. The court has granted a period of three months for mediation, after which the hearing will resume.

Rampur: Samajwadi Party MP Mohibullah Nadwi, from Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, has been ordered to pay Rs 30,000 monthly maintenance to his wife, Rumana. The Allahabad High Court has set a three-month period to resolve the dispute between both parties. The court stated that if Nadwi fails to pay the maintenance during this period or if mediation fails, the court will proceed with further hearings.

The court also directed a deposit of Rs 55,000, out of which Rs 30,000 will be paid to Rumana every month. This decision makes it clear that the court is taking the husband's responsibility seriously and ensuring the wife's right to maintenance.

Court Grants Three Months for Mediation

The High Court has given the Mediation and Conciliation Centre three months to facilitate a settlement between both parties. The court also clarified that if MP Nadwi fails to pay the maintenance or if mediation fails, the interim order will automatically cease, and the court will continue with further hearings.

The purpose of this process is to resolve the dispute in a timely and just manner. The court has stated that it prioritizes a resolution based on the report from the court's mediation center in this case.

Wife Rumana's Allegations Against Mohibullah Nadwi

Rumana informed the court that she was married to Mohibullah Nadwi on October 22, 2012. After the marriage, she discovered that Nadwi had been married three times previously. His first wife had passed away from cancer, leaving behind two daughters.

According to Rumana, Nadwi now lives with his fifth wife. She alleged that Mohibullah subjected her to physical assault and dowry harassment. Rumana and Mohibullah also have a son named Aminullah, who is 12 years old.

MP Mohibullah's Statement

The Samajwadi Party MP stated that since the matter is sub judice, he would not comment on it. He also added that his priority is to focus on the development work of Rampur.

The MP informed about his participation in various programs in his parliamentary constituency and stated that he wishes to work in the best interest of the people of Rampur rather than getting entangled in any dispute.
