According to Baijupada police station, younger brother Jaiprakash (35) and elder brother Premchand (40) were drinking alcohol at home. During this time, an argument started between them. The dispute quickly turned violent, and Premchand struck Jaiprakash on the head with an axe. Seriously injured, Jaiprakash was immediately taken to Sikrai Hospital by family members, where doctors declared him dead.
Dispute Escalates Under Influence of Alcohol
Baijupada police station in-charge, Jagdish Sharma, stated that both brothers were intoxicated, and an argument over some issue intensified. Due to the intensity of the dispute, the elder brother became enraged and attacked his younger brother.
Who else was present in the house at the time of the incident is also part of the police investigation. According to preliminary information, this murder occurred suddenly, and family members may have been involved in minor assistance.
Search for Absconding Accused Continues
After the murder, the accused Premchand fled. The police visited the crime scene and collected evidence. The station in-charge stated that police teams are actively searching for him, and raids are being conducted in nearby villages and potential hideouts.
