Stalin Accuses Governor Ravi of Political Bias and Defaming Dravidian Model

Politics in Tamil Nadu has once again heated up. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin (MK Stalin) has launched a scathing attack on Governor R.N. Ravi (Governor RN Ravi) regarding his speech on Independence Day.

Chennai: The politics of Tamil Nadu have once again become heated. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has directly attacked Governor R.N. Ravi. Stalin says that the Governor is involved in "cheap politics" and is working to advance the BJP's agenda. He alleged that the Governor is trying to defame the Dravidian model and the policies of the DMK government.

Stalin alleged that the Governor is engaging in cheap politics and trying to defame the Dravidian model and his party, the DMK.

Governor Ravi's Statement

In his address on the occasion of Independence Day, Governor R.N. Ravi accused the Tamil Nadu government of social and educational discrimination against backward classes (OBCs) in the state. He said that as a result, cases of suicide among youth, drug addiction, and crimes against women are increasing rapidly.

He said that the state government's policies are promoting discrimination in the name of social justice, and this is creating serious social problems in Tamil Nadu.

CM Stalin's Counterattack

Reacting to the Governor's statement, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin said: "Some toxic people cannot bear to see the Dravidian model flourish in India. Governor Ravi, appointed by the BJP, has now stooped to the lowest form of politics. Sitting in the Raj Bhavan, he is spreading lies against the DMK and the Dravidian ideology."

Stalin further alleged that: "The Governor has repeatedly refused to approve bills passed by the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. He has insulted the Tamil anthem. He is spreading unnecessary panic regarding women's safety and law and order."

Citing Central Government Data

Completely rejecting the Governor's allegations, Stalin cited the data of the central government. He said that in the matter of school education, Tamil Nadu is second in the whole of India. Peace and stability have been maintained in the state for the last four years. Investors' confidence has increased, and during this period the state has received an investment of about ₹10 lakh crore.

The Chief Minister said that the Governor is claiming that women are unsafe, but the reality is that law and order is b in the state and women are performing better in the fields of education and employment.

Dravidian Model vs. Governor

In Tamil Nadu, the DMK considers the Dravidian model of governance to be its greatest achievement. The focus of this model has been on social justice, education, health, and women's empowerment. Stalin said that this model is the subject of discussion all over the country today, and that is why "some forces" are trying to defame it.

He said, "The Dravidian model is not a subject of ridicule. It is the ideology that has taken Tamil Nadu forward on the path of social equality and development. Governor Ravi is repeatedly trying to demean this model, which proves that he is speaking the political language of the BJP." This dispute between the Governor and the state government is not new. In the last few years, conflicts have been seen between the two on many issues.
