Sultanpur (Bhadaiya) — Sultanpur Police arrested two cunning members of an active vehicle theft gang after an encounter on Sunday night.
Superintendent of Police (CO) Sunil Kumar Singh stated that the accused were raided, and when they signaled the police to stop, they opened fire in response.
The police retaliated in self-defense.
The two arrested criminals have been identified as Amarnath and Arshalan. Four cases are already registered against Amarnath — each case in different police station areas. Similarly, three cases are also registered against Arshalan, including serious charges.
Police have started further interrogation of them to map out the entire gang and apprehend other members.
This gang has been active in several vehicle theft incidents, and this arrest is considered a major success for the police.
