Supreme Court Upholds Bail for Accused Javed in Udaipur Tailor Murder Case

A major development has emerged concerning the tailor Kanhaiyalal murder case in Udaipur. Accused Javed in this murder case has received significant relief from the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has refused to cancel the bail granted by the Rajasthan High Court.

Rajasthan: A new turn has occurred in the judicial process related to the tailor Kanhaiyalal murder case in Udaipur. The Supreme Court has provided significant relief to the accused Javed in this matter. The court decided to uphold the bail granted by the Rajasthan High Court and dismissed the petitions filed by the NIA and Kanhaiyalal's son. In its order, the Supreme Court clarified that there is no justification to interfere with the bail granted by the Rajasthan High Court. 

The court also stated that the bail remarks made by the High Court will not affect the trial process. The Supreme Court further clarified in its decision that other accused cannot claim bail in this case by citing Javed's bail. While this decision has provided interim relief to the accused Javed, this relief will not have any impact on the trial process.

Full Details of the Kanhaiyalal Murder Case

This horrific incident took place on June 28, 2022, in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Two unidentified individuals beheaded Kanhaiyalal and circulated a video of the incident online. Kanhaiyalal, a local tailor, was targeted in his own shop. A social and religious dispute was linked to this murder. In fact, at that time, the country was in a state of tension due to the controversial statement made by former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma about Prophet Mohammad.

Kanhaiyalal had allegedly shared a post on social media in support of Nupur Sharma, after which he started receiving threats. This incident sparked widespread outrage across the country and forced the state administration to go on high alert. The Hindu community also expressed deep anger over this murder.

Rajasthan High Court Granted Bail to Accused Javed

In the Kanhaiyalal murder case, the Rajasthan High Court had granted bail to the accused Javed. Following this, the NIA and Kanhaiyalal's son filed a petition in the Supreme Court, seeking cancellation of the bail. While dismissing the petition, the Supreme Court stated that there is no justification to interfere with the High Court's order. 

The court also clarified that the bail remarks will not affect the decision-making process. Due to this decision, the accused Javed is currently out on bail, but the trial process against him will continue.
