The second-generation Nexon and the muscular Tata Scarlet are slated for launch in 2027, boasting a 12.3-inch touchscreen, Level 2 ADAS, a powered driver seat, and petrol/CNG engine options. These models will compete with the Mahindra Thar and Maruti Jimny.
Tata Punch Facelift: A Major Change in the Compact Segment
Let's first discuss the facelifted version of the Tata Punch. This SUV is expected to be launched in November this year. According to a report by Gaadiwaadi, the new Tata Punch could feature a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, replacing the current 7-inch screen. The new Tata Punch is likely to be available with 1.2-liter petrol and petrol-CNG engine options, similar to the current model. In terms of transmission, 5-speed manual and automated manual options might be offered. While the current CNG model is exclusively available with a 5-speed manual, the facelifted model is expected to offer a 5-speed automated manual transmission.
The facelifted model may also receive some new features and design updates. It could incorporate a new grille, updated bumpers, and stylish LED lighting, enhancing the Tata Punch's styling to be more premium and attractive.
New Tata Nexon to Launch in 2027
Tata Motors may launch the second-generation model of its popular Nexon SUV in 2027. This new model is codenamed "Garud." The new Nexon is expected to be available with 1.2-liter petrol and petrol-CNG engines. However, the 1.5-liter diesel engine will not be offered this time.
The new Nexon is anticipated to come with several premium features such as a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and a powered driver seat. This SUV could set a new benchmark in its segment in terms of technology and features.
Tata Scarlet
The third new SUV expected to be launched is the Tata Scarlet. This SUV will feature a muscular body design and could compete with popular SUVs like the Mahindra Thar and Maruti Suzuki Jimny. The Scarlet's highlight is expected to be its robust and powerful body coupled with off-road capabilities.
