The absence of Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav from the winter session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly fueled political controversy. Shivanand Tiwari and the BJP criticized his conduct, raising questions about the role of the opposition and impacting debates in the House.
Patna: The absence of Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav from the winter session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly has raised the political temperature. During this, RJD's senior leader and former minister Shivanand Tiwari targeted Tejashwi, stating that he has abandoned the field of playing the role of opposition. Tiwari clarified that Tejashwi does not appear to have the capacity to lead the opposition for the next five years.
Shivanand Tiwari's Attack
On Thursday, Shivanand Tiwari stated that Tejashwi Yadav was not present during the Governor's address in the Assembly. He claimed that Tejashwi is on a trip to Europe with his family. Tiwari also mentioned that his wife and child had already gone to Delhi. He added that the entire political landscape for the opposition in Bihar is empty, and this situation could prove beneficial for the ruling party.

Regarding RJD supremo Lalu Yadav's son, Tiwari stated that Tejashwi has not shown seriousness in playing the opposition's role. He alleged that this attitude of the opposition is a cause for concern for the people of Bihar and a mockery of democratic dignity.
Political Controversy Intensifies
BJP state spokesperson Prem Ranjan Patel termed Tejashwi's absence an irresponsible act. Patel stated that the Leader of Opposition's disappearance without notice from the very first session of the newly formed assembly raises questions about the opposition's commitment.
He pointed out that solid debates and constructive suggestions were needed on issues such as development, employment, agriculture, law and order, and infrastructure in Bihar. At such a time, the opposition's abandonment of the House is proof of their shirking responsibility. Patel added that this irresponsible attitude is an insult to crores of Biharis who exercised their franchise to strengthen democracy.
