Trump's Visit to Texas Flood Zone Sparks Controversy Amidst Tragedy

Trump Visits Texas Flood Zone, Angrily Calls Journalist a 'Wicked Person'. The flood has claimed the lives of 120 people so far.

Texas Flood: On the morning of July 4th, America's Independence Day, torrential rains unexpectedly triggered a devastating flood in the Guadalupe River area of the state of Texas. This flood severely impacted the Hill Country region, resulting in the deaths of at least 120 people so far, with many still missing. Relief and rescue operations are ongoing following this tragedy.

Trump's Texas Visit

Two days after the event, US President Donald Trump arrived in Texas and met with local administrative officials, relief teams, and rescue workers at the Emergency Operation Center in Kerrville. Praising the rescue efforts, he stated, "Everyone has done an incredible job in these circumstances. Those who are searching for the missing people are truly commendable."

Sharp Reaction in Press Conference

After assessing the local situation, Trump spoke with the media. The atmosphere became tense during the press conference when a journalist questioned whether lives could have been saved if warnings had been issued in time. Trump responded sharply, saying, "Only a wicked person could ask such a question. You are a very wicked person."

Trump initially answered in a composed tone, stating that all agencies had performed well considering the situation. However, he became angry at the journalist's question and questioned their intentions. This statement became a topic of discussion on social media and in political circles.

Trump's Satisfaction with a Positive Question

Following this, Trump responded with a smile to a question asked by a reporter from Real America's Voice. He said, "Now that's a good journalist, good question." This question highlighted the efforts of FEMA and local rescue teams. Trump again praised the relief efforts and agencies on this occasion.

Questions Raised About the Administration

However, reports coming from the flood-affected areas indicate that many citizens and experts are questioning whether alerts were issued in a timely manner. People say that the sudden flood did not give them a chance to react. In this context, questions are being raised about the administration's disaster management preparedness.

Trump's Clarification and Defense

Reacting to these allegations, Trump said, "We have lost a lot. Our children, our families, many loved ones have been lost in this disaster. But we are continuously searching for the missing people. We have extremely dedicated people who are doing this work. In my opinion, there is no one better." He claimed that his administration is providing all possible assistance to Texas. Trump praised FEMA, saying, "We have good people in FEMA. They are doing a fantastic job."
