Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has also taken a firm position on Iran. Asked on Wednesday about a meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pezeshkian, Rubio said he did not believe India and Iran were engaged in discussions over a trade agreement.
Rubio also warned other countries against helping Iran evade US sanctions. The United States has imposed various sanctions on Iran for a long time and has continued to monitor the activities of other countries concerning economic and trade relations with Tehran.
Against this backdrop, Pezeshkian’s remarks underline the differences between the two countries. Iran maintains that it will not retreat from protecting its national interests and sovereign rights.
Following US attacks, Iran has claimed that it sank two US ships and destroyed eight oil tankers. Such military claims require independent verification.

According to Trump’s statement, Iran was hoping for a possible political change in the United States. His assessment of when the war would end is a statement by the US president and cannot be treated as an independently confirmed timeline or a prediction.
Trump also made a claim about the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, saying that the United States now controls the waterway.
