Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, reacting to the court’s decision in a mosque-related case in Saharanpur, said that the court’s order is paramount and that the state government will comply with it as per the rules. The court has cancelled the order issued by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) for recovery of a fine.
Responding to questions about the court’s decision in the Saharanpur mosque-related case, Brajesh Pathak said that the state government fully respects the judiciary. He said the court’s order is paramount and that the decision will be implemented as per the rules.
The SDM had issued an order for recovery of a fine in the case, which was cancelled by the court. Asked what steps the government would take following the court’s decision, Pathak said the court’s order would be complied with.
Pathak made the remarks during his visit to Deoria, at a time when the Saharanpur mosque-related case is being discussed at the political and administrative levels.
During his Deoria visit, Pathak also criticised the Samajwadi Party and its president Akhilesh Yadav. He alleged that the Samajwadi Party’s leadership has no concern for the people of Uttar Pradesh and that, when in power, the party prioritised the interests of its family.
Pathak accused the Samajwadi Party of practising family politics and said that whenever the party had an opportunity to come to power, it was concerned about its family rather than the general public.
These were political allegations made by Brajesh Pathak, and the Samajwadi Party may have a different position on them.
Pathak also made allegations regarding the Samajwadi Party’s previous tenure. He said the party’s agenda was allegedly to promote “One District, One Mafia”.
The Deputy Chief Minister claimed that the people of Uttar Pradesh had not forgotten alleged hooliganism, mafia activities and incidents of riots during the Samajwadi Party’s previous tenure. He said that because of these reasons, the people would not accept the Samajwadi Party again.
This is a political allegation made by the BJP against the Samajwadi Party. Law and order has long remained one of the key political issues between the BJP and the Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh.
Pathak also responded to allegations that Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav’s programme in Bulandshahr had been stopped. He rejected the claims and said that neither the government nor the administration was preventing anyone from holding a public meeting.
Pathak claimed that Akhilesh Yadav was confused about the matter. He alleged that Samajwadi Party leaders were spreading incorrect information and rumours instead of understanding the situation on the ground.
The allegations by the Samajwadi Party regarding the programme and the government’s response have also become part of the political debate. Pathak did not accept the allegations that the government had stopped any political programme.
The Deputy Chief Minister also targeted the Congress along with the Samajwadi Party. He alleged that both opposition parties were practising appeasement politics. In contrast, he claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party government was working on the principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas”.
Pathak said the government was working to take all sections of the state forward and ensure that people received the benefits of development schemes.
The BJP and opposition parties have long differed politically over issues including appeasement, social justice, law and order and development, with both sides making their respective claims.
On Uttar Pradesh’s economic position and development, Pathak claimed that the state has now become a “revenue surplus” state. He said Uttar Pradesh was progressing in various sectors and that the government’s policies had accelerated the pace of development.
According to the Deputy Chief Minister, the state government is continuously working in areas related to infrastructure, investment, employment and public welfare. He compared the current situation in Uttar Pradesh with previous governments and described the BJP government’s tenure as better.
He said the BJP government’s priority was to connect every citizen of the state with the development process. Pathak claimed that the state had made progress at the economic and administrative levels.
Pathak also expressed confidence in the BJP’s prospects in the upcoming elections. He claimed that the people of the state were supporting the BJP’s policies and the government’s work and that the party would once again secure a large majority in the upcoming elections.
He said the BJP would approach the people on the issues of development and good governance. At the same time, he accused the Samajwadi Party and Congress of focusing their political strategy on appeasement and alleged rumours.
During his Deoria visit, Brajesh Pathak spoke about several issues, ranging from the Saharanpur mosque case to opposition politics and Uttar Pradesh’s development. On the Saharanpur case, his main position was that the judiciary’s order is paramount for the government and would be followed as per the rules.
He also spoke about the Samajwadi Party’s previous tenure, the controversy surrounding Akhilesh Yadav’s programme and the state’s economic position.
