Ujjain: A case of molestation of a young woman who had gone to watch Garba during Navratri has come to light in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. The accused, Fardeen, called the woman to his garage and attempted to molest her. Hearing the woman's cries, Bajrang Dal activists arrived at the scene, apprehended the accused, and handed him over to the police. During this incident, the crowd present at the spot also severely beat the accused.
Case of Molestation of Young Woman
The incident occurred near New Ujjain Motors Garage, located near Nilganga Chauraha. The victim informed the police that she had befriended Fardeen Khan through social media. On the night of September 25, when she had gone to watch Garba, Fardeen called her to the garage.
As soon as the young woman arrived there, Fardeen pulled her inside and began to molest her. Hearing the woman's screams, passersby and Bajrang Dal activists arrived at the scene and rescued her. This incident caused immense outrage among the local residents.
Bajrang Dal Activists Carried Out the Rescue
Bajrang Dal activists Vicky Rathore and Lavesh Soni safely extricated the young woman from Fardeen's clutches. Following this, they apprehended the accused and took him to Nilganga Police Station. The victim registered a case of molestation against Fardeen at the police station.
Police officials stated that the timely assistance from Bajrang Dal saved the young woman from a serious situation. They added that active community participation is crucial in such incidents.
Crowd Severely Beat the Accused
As Fardeen was being brought to the police station, the crowd present at the spot and Bajrang Dal activists severely beat him. Police stated that this behavior of the crowd was a result of anger concerning the safety of the victim and other citizens.
Police also stated that a case has been registered against the accused, and further investigation has begun. The accused is currently in custody, and necessary legal action is being taken.
Case Registered Against Accused
Nilganga Police Station has registered a case against the accused, Fardeen, under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. Officials have appealed to the public to immediately inform the police if they observe any suspicious activity.
Police also stated that special surveillance will be maintained to enhance the safety of women and children during Garba and other festivals. Citizens have also been advised to remain vigilant and take precautionary steps for their own safety.
