Uma Bharti Declares Reclaiming PoK as India's National Resolve

Senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Uma Bharti has made a significant statement regarding Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). In a conversation with news agency ANI, she stated that reclaiming PoK is the sentiment and resolve of every Indian, and the nation's objective will be fulfilled only when this is achieved.

New Delhi: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Union Minister Uma Bharti has made a significant statement regarding Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and the recent 'Operation Sindoor'. She clearly stated that India's ultimate goal is to reclaim PoK, and until this objective is met, the nation's dream will remain incomplete.

In an interview given to the media, Uma Bharti said that the return of PoK is not just the thinking of the government or a political party, but the voice of every Indian's heart. She said, "Only when Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is returned to us will India's true purpose be fulfilled. This is also clear from the unanimous resolution passed by Parliament in 1994, which declared PoK an integral part of India."

Uma Bharti's Reaction to 'Operation Sindoor'

Regarding 'Operation Sindoor', which has recently been in discussion, Uma Bharti praised the bravery of the Indian Army. She gave a b response to those who questioned this operation. She stated that those questioning 'Operation Sindoor' are not only disrespecting the Indian armed forces but are also tarnishing the nation's reputation. Such people have no right to engage in politics, as they lack the capacity to understand national pride.

Uma Bharti accused Pakistan of moving towards its own downfall by continuously promoting terrorism. She said that India has always fought against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism and will ultimately end it. She opined that natural justice is the solution to this problem. Pakistan will realize its mistakes only when it is destroyed by terrorism.

Statement on Malegaon Blast Case

Uma Bharti also reacted sharply to the 2008 Malegaon blast case. She stated that this case was used to defame Hindus and for appeasement politics. She alleged that Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur and Lieutenant Colonel Prasad Shrikant Purohit were falsely implicated. Uma Bharti claimed that Sadhvi Pragya was subjected to such torture that her spinal cord was damaged.

Citing her security officer, she said that Sadhvi was slapped more than 100 times, and during this, she continuously chanted 'Om'. Regarding Colonel Purohit, she said that he too was subjected to physical and mental torture, and even his fingernails were pulled out.

Uma Bharti Demands Fresh Probe into Malegaon Case

Uma Bharti demanded a fresh investigation into the Malegaon case. She questioned why names like Sadhvi Pragya and Colonel Purohit were added in 2008, while the real culprits have not been arrested to date. She called this a major question related to national security and justice. It is noteworthy that six people were killed and 95 injured in the blast near the mosque at Bhikku Chowk in Malegaon city on September 29, 2008. However, on July 31, 2024, a special NIA court in Mumbai acquitted all seven accused due to lack of evidence.

Uma Bharti's political career has always been in the spotlight. She is considered a firebrand leader of the BJP. In 2003, she led the party to a significant victory in the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections and became the Chief Minister. However, she later had to resign from the post due to internal party differences.
