UPSC Engineering Services Exam: 5773 Candidates to Appear in Patna

The UPSC Engineering Services Preliminary Examination will be held on June 8th in Patna at 12 centers. 5773 candidates will participate. The administration has implemented stringent security and supervision arrangements to ensure a fair and peaceful examination.

Patna: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Engineering Services Preliminary Examination will be conducted on Saturday, June 8th, at 12 sub-centers in Patna. A total of 5773 candidates will participate. The administration has made comprehensive preparations to ensure the examination is conducted fairly, peacefully, and free from malpractice. Special duty officers have been deployed for security, traffic management, and supervision.

Examination to be held at 12 sub-centers

The Engineering Services (Preliminary) Examination, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission, will be held on Saturday, June 8th. This examination will be conducted in two shifts at 12 sub-centers in Patna. A total of 5773 candidates will be present during the examination. This examination is being held in several cities across the country, with Patna being a major center.

Administration makes strict preparations

The Patna administration has taken all necessary steps for the successful conduct of the examination. The 12 sub-centers have been divided into five zones, with local inspecting officers, assistant supervisors-cum-static magistrates, and zonal officers appointed at each. A total of 12 inspecting officers, 12 static magistrates, 5 zonal magistrates, and 6 security magistrates will monitor the examination centers.

Police force also deployed

Police forces have also been mobilized to maintain law and order during the examination. The respective station house officers have been instructed to patrol around the examination centers and take immediate action on any irregularities.

The Traffic SP has been instructed to ensure that there are no obstacles to the movement of candidates and officials and to maintain smooth traffic flow.

Emphasis on a malpractice-free examination

The Patna Divisional Commissioner, Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, has issued guidelines to all concerned officials in a high-level meeting. He clearly stated that maintaining the dignity and fairness of the examination is the highest priority.

Bringing any communication devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, earphones, etc., to the examination centers will be strictly prohibited. This rule will apply to both candidates and personnel on examination duty.

Strict adherence to time

The administration has clarified that no candidate will be allowed entry to the examination center after 30 minutes past the scheduled start time of the examination. Similarly, no candidate will be allowed to leave the center before the examination concludes.
