US Court Declares Trump's Fast-Track Deportation Policy Unconstitutional

American President Donald Trump has received another blow from the court. After declaring tariffs illegal, the court has now criticized his fast-track deportation decision.

Washington: US President Donald Trump has once again faced a severe setback from the court. A district court in Washington D.C. has declared his controversial Fast Track Deportation Policy unconstitutional, calling it a violation of immigrants' rights. The court clearly stated that detaining and deporting people without due process is against democratic values and human rights.

This decision comes just days after a federal court declared the tariffs imposed by the Trump administration illegal. These continuous rulings have dealt a significant blow to Trump's policies and their legal justification.

What is the matter?

In her ruling, District Court Judge Jia Cobb stated that the Trump administration had initiated an aggressive campaign against immigrants from January 2025. Under this policy, individuals without proof of US Citizenship and without evidence of residing in the US for at least two years were being arrested anywhere.

According to the judge, while immigrants have been identified and deported in America before, the process this time had been made extremely fast and harsh. The court commented, "Emphasizing deportation in every situation is not appropriate. Every individual should have the right to a fair hearing and to present their case."

Trump Administration's Reaction

The Trump administration was shaken by this decision and immediately appealed to the court for a stay. The administration claims that this ruling could pose a threat to American security and law and order. The White House has made it clear that it will take this matter to the US Supreme Court. However, the district court has rejected the request for a stay.

Previous Setback – Tariffs Declared Illegal

This is not the first time the court has rejected Trump's policies. Recently, a federal court in the US also declared the tariffs he imposed illegal. The court not only ordered the removal of the tariffs but also gave the Trump administration until October 14 to appeal to the Supreme Court.

This decision is considered significant for the American business community and global markets, as Trump's tariff policy had a heavy impact on international trade. Human Rights Groups in America and around the world have welcomed this decision. They state that this move brings relief to millions of immigrants who were being deported without a hearing or legal process.
