Accused in Uttar Pradesh Kidnapping and Murder Case Dies by Suicide

The accused in the kidnapping and murder of a minor girl in Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, has been found dead. Police are investigating the suicide and the original case.

Ambedkar Nagar - A named accused in the case of the kidnapping and murder of a minor girl in the district has committed suicide. His body was found hanging from a tree near the Link Expressway in the Atraulia police station area of Azamgarh district on Wednesday morning. Upon receiving information, the police arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation.

According to police, the deceased has been identified as Saurabh Gaud, who was accused in the kidnapping and murder of an 11th-grade student from the Rajesultanpur police station area. A suicide note was also recovered from the scene, in which the accused claimed his innocence. The suicide note is being sent for forensic examination.

It is reported that the girl went missing from her home on December 2nd and her body was recovered near the Gorakhpur Link Expressway on December 20th. Following this, the police formed several teams to search for the accused.

The accused's death has introduced a new turn in the investigation. The police have taken possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. Officials stated that further action will be taken based on the post-mortem report and other evidence. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
