Vande Bharat: The Vande Bharat Express service from Meerut to Ayodhya and Varanasi commenced on Wednesday. Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Dr. Laxmikant Bajpai flagged off the train at 6:35 AM. This train comes as a particular relief for devotees who wish to travel for darshan at the Ram Temple and Baba Vishwanath Temple. The Vande Bharat Express previously only ran to Lucknow, but it has now been extended to the major pilgrimage sites of Ayodhya and Varanasi in Purvanchal.
The launch of this new train service has made religious travel and tourism easier for the people of Meerut and surrounding districts. Previously, there was no direct high-speed train from Meerut to Ayodhya or Varanasi. This step will now save time in reaching pilgrimage sites and make the journey more comfortable.
