WhatsApp Introduces '@all' or 'Mention Everyone' Feature for Enhanced Group Chats

WhatsApp has introduced a new ‘@all’ or ‘Mention Everyone’ feature to enhance its group chat experience. This feature is available for Android users in the beta version and allows tagging the entire group at once. In large groups, only administrators will be able to use it, and users can also mute notifications.

WhatsApp @all Feature: WhatsApp has introduced the ‘@all’ or ‘Mention Everyone’ feature in its beta version as part of a new update, which will make group chats easier and more effective. This feature is currently available for Android users and provides the ability to tag the entire group at once. In small groups, all users will be able to use it, while in large groups, only administrators will be permitted. Additionally, users can mute notifications to maintain control according to their preferences.

How ‘@all’ Works

When a user employs the ‘@all’ command in a group, this feature will notify all members of the group simultaneously. In small groups (up to 32 members), this facility will be available to all users, whereas in large groups, only group administrators will be able to use it.

Users Get Control

WhatsApp has also ensured that users can mute ‘@all’ mentions through their notification controls. This is useful for those who are part of many active groups and wish to avoid unwanted notifications.

Rollout and Availability

Currently, this feature is for beta testers, and in the coming weeks, it will be rolled out to Android and then iOS users in a stable version. WhatsApp's objective is to make group chats more seamless and ensure users have full control over notifications.
