Behala: A 46-year-old Sangeeta Rana died after suddenly falling ill at a Durga Puja pandal in the Behala area of South Kolkata. The incident occurred around midnight on Monday while she was viewing the Durga idol at the Nutan Dal Puja Pandal. The distressing situation has created an atmosphere of grief throughout the area. Police and administration have initiated an investigation into the case.
Woman Dies After Viewing Durga Idol
Sangeeta Rana was a resident of Bhuvan Mohan Roy Road in Haridevpur. According to police and officials on duty at the pandal, she collapsed near the exit gate of the pandal just minutes after viewing the Durga idol. People nearby immediately helped her up and attempted to provide first aid.
Officials on duty initiated CPR, and a green corridor was used to transport Sangeeta immediately to a nearby hospital. Shortly after her arrival at the hospital, doctors declared her dead. The incident was shocking for the devotees present in the area.
Woman Dies Due to Asthma and Lack of Oxygen
