During Nutrition Month, Anganwadi workers will receive training on nutrition-related information. Workshops, seminars and awareness campaigns will also be organised to provide families with information about balanced diets and the importance of better nutrition for children and pregnant women.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said all concerned departments would have to work together to make the nutrition campaign successful. He appealed to people to participate actively in the campaign and create awareness about nutrition among people in their surroundings.

Anganwadi workers from all eight blocks of Varanasi participated in the programme. The programme also saw the presence of workers wearing pink sarees. The government aims to ensure that nutrition-related schemes reach those in need and to make the role of Anganwadi centres more effective.
