Other States: Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Lakshadweep

The BJP has also made organizational appointments in some other states and union territories, including Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Lakshadweep. However, the names of the presidents in these states had already been announced.

National President Election Postponed for Now

According to party sources, the appointment of presidents in at least 19 states is necessary for the election of the national president. The BJP has so far made appointments in 28 states and union territories, but the party is not in a hurry regarding the national president election for now. One big reason for this is that assembly elections are to be held in several important states in the coming months, where the party's entire focus is concentrated.
