This research clarifies that no direct correlation was found between COVID vaccines and heart attack cases. The Ministry of Health has also confirmed these findings. The study was conducted between May and August 2023 in 47 hospitals across 19 states.
Is there a risk of heart attack associated with the vaccine?
In recent years, there has been a surge in cases of sudden heart attacks and deaths among young people across the country. This has created an atmosphere of concern among the general public, and many questions have arisen as to whether the COVID vaccine could be the reason behind this. In such a situation, a detailed study was conducted by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
When and where was this study conducted?
This study was conducted between May 2023 and August 2023 in 47 hospitals located in 19 states and union territories of the country. It included individuals who were completely healthy but had died suddenly between October 2021 and March 2023.
The research team thoroughly investigated these cases and found that the majority of these deaths were due to lifestyle-related issues, not the COVID vaccine.
Key findings of the study
- No direct link to COVID vaccine: There was no increase observed in heart attack cases after taking the vaccine.
- Analysis of deaths of healthy people: The people who died suddenly were completely healthy even before taking the vaccine. It was investigated whether the vaccine had caused any serious reactions.
- Lifestyle became the main reason: The research also found that stress, smoking, alcohol, poor eating habits, and lack of physical activity are responsible for sudden deaths among young people.
Reaction of the Ministry of Health
The Union Ministry of Health has also clarified, after this report, that the corona vaccine is completely safe. The Ministry said that the ICMR study has made it clear that there is no direct link between the vaccine and heart attacks.
