Following questions raised about the absence of BJP MP Kangana Ranaut from Mandi after the devastating floods in Himachal Pradesh, Kangana herself has now addressed the issue. Upon arriving in Mandi, she clarified that she was in Mumbai for only two days, and the disaster occurred during that time. She stated that the controversy surrounding her absence was entirely politically motivated.
Not Possible to be Present Everywhere
Regarding the displeasure expressed by former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur, Kangana said that Jairam Thakur is a respected leader and his statement was misrepresented. She mentioned that she has already spoken to Jairam Thakur on this matter, and the situation is now clear. Explaining her absence, Kangana stated that it is not possible for a Member of Parliament to be present in every assembly constituency all the time. She added that she had recently visited Lahaul-Spiti and secured funds from the center for development projects there.
Will Bring Relief Funds for Mandi
Embarking on a tour of the flood-affected areas of Mandi, Kangana Ranaut said that she has informed the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) about the damage in Himachal Pradesh. She assured that she will try her best to secure maximum relief funds from the central government to help the state overcome this crisis. Kangana Ranaut stated that as a public representative, her primary responsibility is to fulfill the well-being and needs of her constituency. She assured that she is striving at all levels to provide every possible relief and assistance to Mandi and will continue to be actively involved. Kangana is currently touring flood-affected areas like Thunag, reviewing the relief efforts.
