Controversy Erupts: BJP MLC Confronts ADCP at Kanpur Stadium, Raising Political Tensions

A heated argument between BJP MLC Arun Pathak and ADCP Anjali Vishwakarma at Kanpur's Green Park Stadium on Sunday is escalating into a major controversy. What began as a minor spat has now taken on political dimensions, with the matter set to be brought to the attention of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. A video of the entire incident has gone viral on social media, clearly showing and audibly capturing the heated exchange between the two.

Dispute Erupted Over Entry of the Gunman

According to sources, the dispute began when MLC Arun Pathak attempted to enter Green Park Stadium with his personal gunman. Police personnel on security duty, citing regulations, prevented the gunman from entering the stadium. This angered MLC Pathak, leading to an argument with the officers present at the scene.

It is reported that during the argument, while the conversation was underway with a female ACP, ADCP Anjali Vishwakarma arrived and allegedly said, "You be quiet, I have dealt with him before." This comment further fueled the controversy.

Arun Pathak's Question in the Viral Video

Upon hearing this comment, MLC Arun Pathak became upset and repeatedly asked, "Dealt with? Explain what you mean." Someone at the scene recorded the entire incident, and the video has now gone viral on social media.

The video's release has caused a stir in political circles. Arun Pathak has stated that he will raise the matter with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He claims that the female IPS officer's behavior towards him was insulting and that he will personally complain to the CM in Lucknow.

IPS Officer's Clarification

According to sources, ADCP Anjali Vishwakarma's comment, "I have dealt with him," was actually related to a past context. It is reported that a similar situation had arisen during PM Narendra Modi's visit to Kanpur some time ago when Arun Pathak had arrived at the event venue with his gunman. At that time, Anjali Vishwakarma had also decided to exclude the gunman. She claims that she repeated the same context at that time, but the meaning was misinterpreted, leading to the controversy.

Currently, no official statement has been issued by the police department regarding this matter. Nor has any investigation been ordered at the level of Kanpur Police or the government.

What the Viral Video Shows

In the viral video, Arun Pathak is seen repeatedly asking Anjali Vishwakarma, in an angry tone, what she meant by "dealt with." Furthermore, Anjali Vishwakarma's voice can also be clearly heard in the video, where she is telling the female ACP to be quiet and then intervenes herself.

Eyes on CM Yogi

As the matter goes viral, a situation of confrontation appears to be developing between the BJP and the administrative department. While MLC Pathak is portraying it as a matter of respect and honor, the police department is refraining from publicly commenting.

The focus is now on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's decision, whether he will intervene in this matter or order an administrative investigation. Whatever the case, this issue has given rise to a new debate of BJP versus bureaucracy.
