Bihar News: Prashant Kishor has sharply criticized the Congress and Rahul Gandhi, raising questions about their contributions to the development of Bihar. He challenged Rahul Gandhi, asking if he had even spent a single night in Bihar. PK also questioned the Congress's silence on the statement made by the Telangana CM regarding Biharis. Furthermore, he sarcastically commented on the Congress's political standing in Bihar.
Election Buzz and Political Stirrings in Bihar
Assembly elections are expected to be held in Bihar by the end of this year. In light of this, all political parties have entered the fray. Prashant Kishor, the founder of Jan Suraaj, is actively involved in Bihar and is conducting tours and dialogue programs in different parts of the state. During this time, he launched a scathing attack on Rahul Gandhi and the Congress in an interview.
Direct Attack on Rahul Gandhi
Prashant Kishor, questioning Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, said that he had never spent a single night in any village in Bihar. Kishor said that leaders who do not spend time on the land of Bihar cannot understand the people here. He also accused Rahul Gandhi of ridiculing Biharis while sitting in Delhi and then coming to the state to give speeches.
Congress's Silence on Telangana CM's Statement
PK referred to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's statement that Biharis have it in their DNA to do labor. Kishor said that this was a highly objectionable statement. If the Congress cared about Biharis, they would have apologized for this statement. When Rahul Gandhi visits Bihar, he should be asked why his party's Chief Minister made this statement and what his reaction was to it.
Questions on Rajiv Gandhi's Promise
Prashant Kishor also mentioned the 1989 announcement by former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, in which he promised to give Rs 50,000 crore for the development of Bihar from Gandhi Maidan. PK questioned where that money went. He alleged that the Congress had always ignored Bihar while being in power at the center for a long time. He said that the Congress apologized for the incident with the Sikhs in Punjab, but never apologized to the Biharis, even though Bihar was consistently deprived of development.
Sarcasm on Congress's Political Standing
Prashant Kishor also took a dig at the current political position of the Congress in Bihar. He said that the Congress does not even have the stature left to contest elections alone. Regarding seat sharing, he quipped that the Congress will get as many seats as Lalu Yadav wants to give them.
He said that the situation of the Congress has now become like "begging" and its ground hold in Bihar is almost over.
